Chromalox CWM Constant Wattage Heat Trace Cable is engineered for industrial process temperature maintenance and freeze protection where consistent watt density is required. Its parallel heating core provides uniform thermal output along the cable length, with field-configurable circuits up to 780 ft (238 m) from a single power point. The cable can be cut to length and field-spliced, providing installation flexibility around piping and complex fittings. Designed for 120–480 V operation, CWM features 392°F (200°C) fluoropolymer insulation for excellent electrical and thermal performance. With constant heat output, zero startup inrush, and third-party approvals for harsh corrosive and hazardous areas, CWM is well suited for demanding industrial and higher-temperature heat tracing applications.
Chromalox® SRL Self-Regulating Heating Cable provides safe and reliable freeze protection and temperature maintenance for pipes, valves, tanks, and industrial equipment. Its self-regulating technology automatically adjusts heat output in response to temperature changes along the cable length. Flexible and easy to install, SRL cable can be cut to length, field-spliced, and single-overlapped without burnout. Designed for 120 and 208–277 V, it is third-party tested and approved for ordinary, harsh corrosive, and hazardous area applications.
Chromalox mineral insulated heating cables (MI cables) provide rugged and reliable heat tracing for a variety of demanding applications. The high nickel alloy sheath, magnesium oxide dielectric insulation and resistance wire construction allow the tracing of equipment up to 1100°F maintenance temperatures and excellent resistance to many corrosive environments. At lower temperatures, watt densities of up to 50 W/Ft can be designed. Please contact factory for cable maintenance temperature above 400°F. MI cables are the most rugged heating cable in Chromalox’s product line. Constructed of a solid series resistor element embedded in highly compacted mineral insulation, MI cables are built to handle high temperature, high wattage applications.
